Abstract: ALVARAN, ROBIE B. and MERIÑO, BERNARD JOSHUA I. Effect of the Production Management on Product Quality in Styro-Lite Manufacturing Corporation Amidst COVID-19. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. July 2022. Adviser: Engr. Jay Vee L. Lacostales. Styro-Lite Manufacturing Corporation is a mass production company engaged in the manufacture of expandable polystyrene (EPS), expandable polypropylene (EPP), expandable polyethylene (EPE), and polystyrene paper (PSP) products. The objective of this study was to establish a relation between production management techniques and product quality, considering how the determinants of manufacturing techniques at the system level affect the intended strategic parameters in product quality. The researchers used the pareto analysis and the fishbone diagram to analyze the data to determine the problems of the company in terms of rejects, to provide suggested countermeasures. This study aimed to know the company's current state and evaluate the production management techniques and find if there is a positive correlation between the production management and the quality of the product. Analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation, and regression analysis were used in this study. The study participants were 105 regular employees. Their demographic profile was described using a count and frequency table. On the other hand, ANOVA analysis results in no significant difference between their job position and their production management answer. Pearson's r and regression analysis was used to find if there is a positive correlation between the two variables. The results show a strong positive correlation between production management and quality. The path diagram shows the relation of production management variables and the quality factors and the proposed framework to manage the problem that exists in the company that affects the production management that leads to poor quality output.
