Online resources: Abstract: HERRERA, WALTER HERMOSO, “Arias Ricemill: A Case Study", Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. April 1994. Adviser: Mr. Angelo P. Olo. A case study was conducted from November 1993 to January 1994 at Arias Ricemill located in Punta, Tanza, Cavite. Its aim was to enable the student to apply his gained knowledge and skills in agribusiness management into actual operations. This study also aimed to gather information about the organization and management, production, marketing and financial aspects of AriasRicemill, analyze the performance of the firm and identify the problems encountered and recommend possible solutions that may help the firm. The study concentrated on management, production, marketing and financial aspects of the firm. Data was gathered through observation, interviews with operators, employees and the owner herself. Other data were obtained through participation in some activities like packaging of finished products and others. Data on the book was also gathered for further information. After the evaluation of the business, it was found that the limited supply of palay during rainy seasons caused the decrease in production. Another is the limited capacity of the disposal area. In management, incomplete data recording on small transactions and expenses were not recorded. It is recommended that there should be enough supply of palay during the rainy season. They will need at least 300 cavans of procured palay per day. It can be done by negotiating with farmers in other provinces and offering high prices so that farmers” from nearby neighbours will sell their palay to them. The manager should be strict in her subordinates especially to the secretary to have a complete data on all transactions.
