Abstract: BUAR, MARY JOY L., CATAHUM, HANAHRIE F., DONGGO, ZEA MAYE J. Observance of the Code of Conduct Towards the Job Performance of Selected Public Employees of Trece Martires City, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Prof. Russel Philip Nuestro. The study was conducted from August 2021 to April 2022 in the public offices located in Trece Martires City, Cavite to find out the observance of the code of conduct in the job performance of the public employees. Specifically, the study aimed to 1. determine how the employees observe the code of conduct in the performance of their job in terms of permanent, permanent casual, and coterminous; 2. examine how the employees of Trece Martires City adhere to the eight standards of conduct outlined in RA 6713; 3. know the challenges encountered in the practice of code of conduct and job performance, and 4. identify the extent of employees' awareness in the impact of code of conduct on their job performance. Code of Conduct is associated with a positive influence on the employees' performance. This quantitative study focuses on how public employees observe the code of conduct in the performance of their job and see if RA 6713's eight code of conduct is known in their workplace. The researchers made a survey questionnaire administered to 223 employees. The study revealed that the Code of Conduct is highly observed in the employees' job performance, but there are also some areas that need to be improved. A significant relationship between the observance of the code of conduct and the job performance of the selected public employees was found. There is also a small number of participants who are not familiar with Republic Act No. 6713. Hence, there is a need to improve on the reorientation of the code of conduct to be known and be highly observed completely by all the public employees in the performance of their duties.
