Abstract: CAPIO, JEREM DAVE A., CAPONGCOL, MARIVER., TOLENTINO DAYNIELLE KAYE, P. Knowledge and Practice towards Sustainable Development Goals of Fourth Year BS Business Management Students of Cavite State University-Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Development Management major in Rural Development Management. Cavite State University, Indang Campus. August 2022. Adviser: Dr. Almira G. Magcawas. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to combat environmental, political, and economic challenges that the world is facing. Sufficient knowledge about SDGs and how students can contribute to its attainment is imperative. Various studies measuring the knowledge, awareness, attitude, and practice of students toward SDGS had been conducted. In some Universities, the knowledge is high, but practice is low. In other schools, both awareness and knowledge are low. Hence, this study focused on assessing the knowledge and practice of fourth year BS Business Management Students of Cavite State University - Main Campus. This study employed survey and correlation research designs. Data were gathered from 252 participants using Google Form. In adherence to the safety protocols and due to limited reach to the participants, convenience sampling was employed. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics such as frequency and weighted mean were used. Correlation analysis was also utilized to examine the relationship between knowledge and practice of participants towards SDGs. Results revealed that majority of the participants are female, 20 to 22 years old, with a household size of five to eight, and with a monthly income of PhP 10,000 to Php 19,999. The study also found out that majority of the participants have high knowledge towards SDGs particularly on the importance of environmental protection, economic growth, and social equity as fundamental elements of a nation. The participants also recognize the importance of health oceans and seas to our existence. In terms of practice towards SDGs, many participants are into conserving the use of water supply and turning off of electrical appliances when not in used. Results of the study also suggested that there is moderate positive relationship between knowledge and practice of participants towards SDGs. However, since this study employed convenience sampling, a non-probability sampling technique, the results are only true for the set of participants of this study and cannot be generalized for the population of the study, the fourth year BS Management students.
