The title of the study is "Financial Health Performance of Selected Insurance Companies in the Philippines during the year 2020 COVID-19 pandemic" and it was conducted from September to November 2021. Mainly, the study was to determine the financial health performances of selected Insurance companies in the Philippines during year 2020. Specifically, it also aimed to; (1) determine the value of insurance companies in terms of net income, net worth and assets; (2) determine the liquidity of insurance companies in terms of current ratio, quick ratio, and cash ratio; (3) determine the solvency of insurance companies in terms of debt ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, and interest coverage ratio; and (4) determine the profitability of insurance companies in terms of profit margin, return on equity, return on assets, gross margin and operating margin. Descriptive design was used in the study. Secondary data were all collected through the annual reports and financial statements of the selected insurance companies. Geometric mean, mean and range were used in the computed data to measure the average of historical performances of the participants during five years. Using the geometric mean, the average of historical financial health performance of selected insurance companies in the Philippines from year 2016 to 2020 were measured. The value of insurance companies in terms of net income and net worth were continuously increasing from year 2016 to 2019 only. However, it suddenly decreases in the year 2020. The liquidity of insurance companies in terms of current ratio, quick ratio and cash ratio were all declining. The solvency of insurance companies was continuously increasing year-by-year. And the profitability of insurance companies also was continuously increasing despite of the COVID 19 pandemic. As the main objective of the study was to determine the financial health performance of selected insurance companies in the Philippines during year 2020 pandemic, it was revealed that the COVID 19 pandemic affects the financial health performances of insurance companies. The value of insurance companies in terms of net income and net worth were suddenly decreased in the year 2020 when the pandemic was started. It was also revealed that the solvency of the insurance companies was suddenly increased, that lead to higher leverage. However, the profitability of the insurance companies was revealed positive despite of the COVID 19 pandemic.
