Abstract: BERGONIO, RACHEL BENDO. Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., Dasmarinas Sales Office, Sampaloc 2, Pala-Pala Dasmarinas, Cavite. A Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing, Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2004. Adviser: Dr. Nelia C. Cresino. A three-month field study was conducted from November 13, 2003 — February 20, 2004 at Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., Dasmarinas Sales Office. The study aimed to: describe the functional areas of the firm; observe the activities in the real world of business; determine the problems of the company; and suggest feasible solutions to the problems identified. The company sells concentrates and syrup for bottled and canned beverages to authorized bottling and canning operations. In addition to concentrates and syrup for soft drinks products and flavored non-carbonated beverages, the company sells concentrates for purified water products, such as Dasani, to authorized bottling operations. The bottlers or canners of soft drinks products either combine the syrup with carbonated water or combined the concentrate with sweetener, water and carbonated water to produce finished soft drinks. The finished soft drinks are packaged in authorized containers bearing the Company’s trademarks, such as cans, refillable and non- refillable glass and plastic bottles, and are then sold to retailers and wholesalers. The author was tasked to do the following activities during her training: filing of documents, receiving letters, calling the dealers and acquiring about their sales, updating sales monitoring board, surveying and visiting the site to be sponsored by the company. The company had limited number of computers that cause delay in accomplishing reports. They also encountered breakdown of main power supply because of heavy used of electric power. The company should buy additional updated computers good enough for the employees to work efficiently. Transformer should be checked immediately to avoid inconvenience.
