Social Work as a Profession: Perspectives of CAS Student in Cavite State University - Indang Campus Undergraduate Thesis in Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Cavite State University. June 2021. Adviser: Mr. Joven E. Dicen, RSW, MSSW. This research was conducted at the College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite State University - Indang Cavite. A descriptive method was used in this study. The researcher used survey questionnaires and one-on-one interviews to reveal the relationship of the variables. The research was conducted to determine perceptions of CAS students on Social Work as a profession. The researchers aims to (1) have an in-depth understanding of the perspectives of CAS students in Cavite State University - Indang Campus about Social Work as a Profession, (2 have an in-depth understanding of the perspectives of CAS students in Cavite State University - Indang Campus about Social Work as a Profession, (3) To determine the factors that influence perceptions about the profession of Social Work (4) To determine the effects of perceptions of CAS students to social services consumers and the Social Work Profession and (5) To illustrate the implications of the perspectives of CAS students in Cavite State University - Indang Cavite to the Social Work profession and the social services consumers. After administering the survey questionnaires and one-on-one interviews, the researchers used descriptive statistics, bivariate analysis, correlational analysis, SPSS and thematic analysis to determine the knowledge and perceptions, sources and factors that influence their knowledge, the relationship between their perception on Social Work as a profession, the sources of knowledge towards Social Work profession with the implications on social work as a profession. The Pearson Correlation coefficient and P-value was used to measure the significant relationship between the respondent's perception on Social Work as a profession, the sources of knowledge towards Social Work profession with the implications on Social Work as a profession. P-value was used to test the significance of variables. After analyzing the data, the researchers concluded that there is a significant relationship between the respondent's perception on Social Work as a profession, the sources of knowledge towards Social Work profession with the implications on Social Work as a profession. P-value was used to test the significance of variables. Therefore, there is enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis. The result of the data supports this claim.
