The respondents of the study are 14-19 years old teenagers who reside in the following barangays of Dasmarinas, Cavite: Brgy. Salawag, Brgy. Paliparan III, Brgy.San Nicolas I, Brgy. Zone IV and Brgy. Zone II. . The study used mean and standard deviation in determining the level of engagement in Christian spiritual activities, self concept and optimism of the respondents and Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the relationship between Christian spiritual activities, self concept and optimism. A validated self-made test was used to measure the level of engagement in Christian spiritual activities and level of optimism of the respondents while Pasao Self Concept Rating Scale was used to determine the level of self concept of the respondents. Based on the gathered data, it was revealed that the teenagers in selected barangays of Dasmarinas have a low level of engagement in Christian spiritual activities while the level of their self concept and optimism was remarkably high. The respondents rarely spend time in engaging in Christian spiritual activities but their self concepts on the other hand, were remarkably high and they have positive feelings and views of themselves, share close relationships with family and friends and can adjust to people and situations well. They also have a positive outlook in life and high hopes for the future. A significant relationship between engagement in Christian spiritual activities and self concept was found in the study. However, it was also revealed that there is no significant relationship between engagement in Christian spiritual activities and optimism and between self concept and optimism of teenagers in selected barangays of Dasmarinas.
