Abstract: This study, "Yield Performance of Corn as Affected by Frequency of Cultivation" was conducted at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural College from June 8, 1978 to September 17, 1978. It aimed to determine the growth and yield of corn as affected by the frequency of cultivation. A 576 square-meter of land was used for the purpose. BPI corn seeds, Cebu white variety were used as materials for the study. Two seeds were planted in:each hill arranged along the rows with 50 centimeters distance in between. Cultivation was applied with a depth of three centimeters and this was done at a weekly interval. freatment 3 which was. cultivated twice produced the longest and heaviest ears giving the highest computed yield per hectare. As the frequency of cultivation was increased there was a corresponding decrease in yield because a large number of roots which help the plants absorb water and food nutrients were disturbed. There was also a decrease in weight of corn ears.
