The E-learning System for Foreign Language Subjects: Spanish, French and Nihongo was developed to provide an online education for the students who were enrolled in the subject. The study helped the students in the learning process by giving an alternative way of gaining knowledge. The researchers used the Extreme Programming as a paradigm in the development of the system. Extreme Programming consists of the following phases: Exploration Phase, Planning Phase, Iterations to Release Phase, Productionizing Phase, Maintenance Phase and Death Phase,
The e-Learning system was developed under XAMPP, wherein Apache was used as the server, PHP as the scripting language and MySQL for the database. Macromedia Dreamweaver was used for interface design & prototyping, Google Chrome as the default browser, Microsoft Visio 2003 for designing the diagram, Adobe Photoshop and Flash were integrated as a part of the software for the design, animation and interface and Microsoft Office Word 2010 for the documentation.
