This study was conducted among hypertensive clients on selected barangays in Naic Cavite to assess the home intervention effects on the level of compliance with their dietary management specifically, the study aimed to:(1) describe the demographic and biophysical characteristic of hypertensive client;(2) identify the level of compliance of the respondents before and after home visit interaction;(3) identify the difference between the level of compliance before and after the health teaching;(4) identify the significant relationship between the client’s compliance and their blood pressure reading;(5) identify the significant relationship between the client’s compliance and their caloric intake;(6) identify the difference between the level of compliance among the three groups after health teaching.
Personal interview and one on one interaction was conducted with 60 respondents above 40 years old. Findings of the study revealed that hypertensive clients on selected barangays on Naic, Cavite were female (65%), married (78%), 50-54 years old (23.3%), unemployed (70%), attained high school level (48%). Biophysical profile showed that most of the respondents had an average height of 150-151 cm (25%) and average weight of 50-54 kilograms. The study showed that most of the respondents were overweight.
