Competency Level Of Team Sports Officiating Official In Cavite State University Main Campus Undergraduate Thesis Submitted to the Faculty of the College of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Mr. Victor F. Piores. The study was conducted to determine the competency level of CvSU- Main Campus Officiating officials, determine the demographical characteristic of sport official in several team sports, determine the officiating level competency of a team sport official based on the number of years on officiating and determine significant relation between demographic profile of the participants and their competency level in officiating sports events. The study is aimed beneficial to the University employees and officiating officials who participate in the schools sporting events and for future researchers. The data used in the study were primary data from the answers in the interview and questionnaires prepared by the researchers. Demographic profile of the Cavite State University officiating officials determined such as age and sex. Ages ranged from 21-26 years old and dominated by male. Team sports officiated by the participants are basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, futsal and sepak takraw. Lastly, the effect of the official's performance to their educational attainment and number of years of officiating as a result of their answers to the questionnaires presented.
