Abstract: ALYSSA P. CABANTING and YVETH V. MATILLA. Design and Development of Online Student Academic Advising for the College of Engineering and Information Technology. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2012. Adviser: Mr. Marlon Perena The study was conducted to develop an Online Advising System for the College Of Engineering and Information Technology. The system was developed for the benefits. of the advisers in the college. The methodology used in the software was Iterative Development Model. It was composed of five phases: Requirement Phase, Design Phase, Implementation and Testing Phase and Deployment Phase. The software developed (web application) has the following features: Profile. Management Module, Grade Module, Curriculum Module and Report Module. The Profile Management module includes creating an account and editing profile. The Grade Module includes the adding of grades, printing of Pre-enrolment form. Curriculum Module includes the adding of course, adding of subjects. And in Report Module includes the list of reports for advisers and administrator. Each user has its own page and individual username and password. The administrator can add and delete account if needed The system was developed using PHP as developing tool, My Structured Query Language (MySQL) for the database and XAMPP server as temporary localhost. Macromedia Dreamweaver was also used to develop the design layout.
