The study was conducted from November 2014 to January 2015 at Paliparan JI National High School in Dasmarinas City, Cavite to find out the correlation of self- esteem, personality type and career choice of senior students. Specifically the study sought to determine the: 1) level of self-esteem of senior students; 2) personality type of senior students in terms of realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional; 3) career choice of senior students when grouped according to categories; 4) significant relationship between self-esteem and career choice and 5) significant relationship between personality type and career choice of senior students. The study made used of a descriptive-correlational method. Instruments used in data gathering were validated Self-Esteem Questionnaire, Personality Mosaic and Career List. Using fish bowl technique and proportional allocation, the participants were determined. They were 198 senior students that came from 6 sections. The statistical measures employed were frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation and chi-square test.of independence. The 0.05 level of significance was set for the study. Based on the findings of the study, it was determined that the participants have an average level of self-esteem. Results revealed that the students have the characteristics of not just one type of personality, but most of them have the combination of personalities, specifically investigative and artistic type. As to their career, the participants hoped to pursue courses in the field of Business and Management such as Business Administration, Accountancy, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, Real Estate Management and Economics. It was found out that the personality type of senior students did not match with their career choices. The self-esteem and personality type found not to be significantly in relation to the career choice of senior high school students that made the hypotheses accepted. There were factors that influenced the career choice of the students such as family, peers, personal desire, abilities, socioeconomic status, and prestige.
