Abstract: ZURBANO, COLLEEN C. Operations Practices: The Case of Avon Cosmetics Inc. Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Operations Management. Cavite State University, Indang,Cavite.April 2014. Adviser: Engr. Gilberto David. The study was conducted at Avon Cosmetics, Inc. in Victoria de Manila, Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila from July 2013 to September 2013to: identify the practices involved in the daily operations of Avon Cosmetics Inc.;determine the different products that the company offers under inventory system; analyze the arrangement of the products in the supermarket section of the firm, and; describe the operations process of the firm. The business process related to the company's operations practices was described and discussed in the study, including the problems encountered and solutions recommended. All specific objectives were achieved, including the description and analysis of the inventory system of the firm, the product placement, and other relative operations practices. The data and information were gathered from the records of the firm, including the handbook, some personal interviews, and observations of the researcher in her two-month stay in the company. Descriptive method was used in analyzing the information regarding the operations practices of Avon Cosmetics Inc. The descriptive method involved the description, recording, analysis and interpretation of the prevailing situation of Avon Cosmetics, Inc. Results of the study showed that the flow of the daily operations of Avon Cosmetics, Inchad certain constraints, but was still managed effectively by the company. Evaluation of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats was made in the analysis section of the study.
