Abstract: SAQUILAYAN, ARIANE It Factors Affecting The Attachment Level Of Selected First Year CAS Students Of Cavite State University With Their Parents. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2007. Adviser: Mr. Renato T. Agdalpen. This study attempted to determine the factors affecting the attachment level of selected first year CAS students of Cavite State University with their parents. Specifically, it also aims to 1.) limit the demographic profile of the students in terms of gender, age and birth order, 2.) illustrate the extent of the attachment level of respondents to their mother and father, 3.) establish if there is a significant difference on the level of attachment of respondents to the mother and father, 4.) determine the significant effects of the factors to the attachment level of respondents to the mother and father. The study made use of descriptive design using questionnaire as gathering tools to find out the significant difference on the level of the attachment of respondents to the mother and father. Descriptive statistics such as frequency counts and percentages were used in determining the demographic characteristics of the respondents. One-Way ANOVA and t-test for dependent and independent sample were used in determining the differences of attachment level of respondents to their parents. The study involved one hundred thirty six (136) first year CAS students in Cavite State University. Majority of the respondents' age ranged from 16-19 years and most of them were female. Majority were in the eldest birth order. The result of the study shows that there is no significant difference on the level of attachment of respondents to their parents.
