Abstract: COLADA, ELEAZAR P., DELAS ALAS, FRANZ IVAN M. and SALAZAR, CHRISTOPHER S. ICE Broiler Enterprise: An Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, majors in Agribusiness and Marketing. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. October 2006. Adviser: Mrs. Carmencita R. Feranil. The entrepreneurial development project was conducted in Kayquit III, Indang, Cavite and in Cavite State University Animal Production Project primarily to provide the student the chance to apply the gained knowledge in business management to the actual operation of the business. The project was conducted from July 26 to October 27, 2006. It was operated with an initial capital of PhP30, 000.00, which was equally shared by the entrepreneurs. The study was primarily concerned with the growing of broilers to realize profit. The different practices undertaken include preparation of the poultry house, purchase of chicks, acquisition of feeds, brooding and growing, medication, feeding, harvesting, and marketing the product. During the three months period of the operation 600 chicks were raised for two cropping periods. The project sold live and dressed chicken. Live chicken were sold at PhP60-PhP95 per kilo while dressed chicken were sold at PhP8O-PhP90 per kilo. Their market includes walk-in-buyers, retailers and restaurants.
