Abstract: DE TAZA, JAN CARLO M. and DIMAPILIS, DIANNE Q. Design and Construction a Portable Water-Tapped Hydroelectric Power Generating System. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Efren R. Rocillo. With the prospect of harnessing the available energy present in water pipeline ems, this study was conducted and evaluated. It aimed to; (1) measure the parameters fired for the construction of the hydroelectric systems specifically water pressure and flowrate at Bailen, Cavite and Cavite State University- Main Campus; (2) design and construct the turbine's blade and the driving unit; (3) design and construct generator for system; (4) assemble the portable water-tapped hydroelectric power generating system; test and evaluate the system; and (6) conduct a cost computation. The study was conducted in Cavite State University - Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. The whole system consists of turbine, generator, rectifier circuits and batteries. The design was based from theoretical computations. The test and evaluation were done to; (1) determine the output power of the system considering the minimum and maximum flow rate of the supply; (2) examine the charging -ty of the system under varying flow rates; (3) and store the captured energy into batteries. Outputs include the soft and hard copy of the evaluation results, circuit diagrams graphs. The total cost of the study was P 19,100.
