Panaligan The study was conducted at the College of Nursing, Cavite State University- Don Severino de las Alas Campus, Indang Cavite from November 2007 to March 2009 with the following objectives: to identify the demographic profile of the respondents, to determine the types of support system for the Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) among graduating nursing students batch 2009 of Cavite State University, to determine . the level of emotional preparedness for the Nursing Licensure Examination, among graduating nursing students batch 2009 of Cavite State University, and to identify the relationship between (a) students’ demographic profile and level of emotional preparedness and (b) level of support system and the level of emotional preparedness of the graduating students in the College of Nursing towards the Nursing Licensure Examination. The researchers used a descriptive method. They chose the graduating nursing students who would take the June 2009 Nursing Licensure Examination (NLE) to be the respondents of this study, wherein each was given a questionnaire that would test the types and level of support system and individualized emotional preparedness. Based on the result of this study, most of the respondents belonged to the age group of 18 — 20. The group was also a female dominated group and received a total monthly income ranging from P15, 000.00 to P19, 000.00. The respondents considered their family as their primary support system and got an average level of emotional preparedness. It was found out that there was no significant relationship between the students’ demographic profile and level of emotional preparedness as well as the relationship between the level of support system and level of emotional preparedness of the respondents.
