Abstract: ARBIS, ANDREA MINA MAY Q. Water Quality Assessment and Determination of the Extent of Saltwater Intrusion in the Coastal area of Naic, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser. Dr. David L. Cero. The study was conducted from December 2015 to February 2016 in the coastal strip of Naic, Cavite to assess its water quality and determine the extent of saltwater intrusion. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine groundwater quality in terms of salinity, electric conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), temperature and pH; analyze the variation of the selected water parameters from the month of December 2015 to February 2016; and establish saltwater intrusion spot maps of the coastal area of Naic, Cavite. Informal interviews, actual field observations and recording of significant data from the sampling sites were done to support the study. The results of the study were based on the 39 sampling sites for raw data generation and from water quality monitoring from December 2015 to February 2016 in the selected sites. Significant amounts of contaminants were seen in the study based on the tests conducted.
