Abstract: MARASIGAN, JENNELYN A. Room Utilization Design of Selected Colleges of Cavite State University-Main Campus for First Semester A.Y 2012-2013 Using Graphs. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics.Cavite State University-main campus, Indang Cavite, March 2003. Adviser: Engr. Orlando B. de los Reyes The study -Room Utilization Design of Selected Colleges of Cavite State University-Main Campus for First Semester A. Y 2012-2013 Using Graphs" was conducted to present the concepts of gaphs in scheduling. The study aimed to: 1)improve the current room utilization by applying basic concepts of graph theory; (2) develop an effective model to be used for the preparation of classroom utilization for First Semester A. Y.2012-2013 and the succeeding semesters; and (3) maximize room utilization using graph and identify if there is a need for additional facilities. It was conducted at Cavite State University- Main Campus from January to March 2013. Using Graph Theory, the concept of edge coloring and matching was considered in room utilization. Results showed that graphs could be used to properly utilize the different classrooms to avoid conflicts on the schedule. The room utilization was maximized and schedules were distributed properly.
