Filart The study was conducted among married women in selected barangays in Indang, Cavite to determine the relationships among their personality trait, marital expectations and satisfaction. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the: 1) personality traits of married women; 2) marital expectations that married women hold toward their relationship; 3)level of satisfaction of married women from their marital relationship; 4) the relationship between marital expectations and marital satisfaction of married women; 5) the relationship between personality traits and marital expectations of married women; and 6) the relationship between personality traits and marital satisfaction of married women. A descriptive-correlational research design was utilized in this study. A total of 187 married women served as the respondents for this study selected through purposive sampling technique. Descriptive statistical measures such as frequency counts, mean, range, percentages and standard deviations were used to analyze the data gathered. Spearman rank order correlation test was used to determine the relationship between personality traits, level of marital expectation and level of marital satisfaction. The results revealed that majority of the respondents showed a highly significant relationship between level of marital satisfaction and level of marital expectation in terms of equitable distribution of household work. Likewise, significant relationship existed between expectation of love and affection and marital satisfaction of the respondents. On the other hand, no significant relationship was found between emotional security and marital satisfaction. Findings of the study revealed that all dimensions of personality of the respondents have high significant relationship to two marital expectations, namely: equitable distribution of household work and emotional security.
