Abstract: OLIVER, LOUWELLA JANE R. Hog Fattening Project in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mariedel L. Autriz, PhD. The hog fattening project was conducted at the Animal Production Area of the Department of Animal Science at Cavite State University Main Campus from December 14, 2018 to March 22, 2019 to expose the student to an actual hog production project; to apply and gain knowledge in actual and proper management of hog production; and to earn profit in hog fattening raising enterprise. The stocks were bought from Lintiw, Indang, Cavite and the feeds were purchased from CAFFMACO in Silang, Cavite. The student entrepreneur reared four fattening hogs that lasted for 99 days. The initial average weight of piglets was 17.75 kilograms and the final average weight was 93 kilograms. The hogs were fed three times a day at 8:00 AM, 12:00 NN and 5:00 PM. The student entrepreneur used Pre starter feeds for 9 days, Starter feeds for 28 days, Grower feeds for 41 days and Finisher feeds for 20 days. The total feeds consumed by the four fattening hogs was 815 kilograms. The hogs gained an average weight of 75.25 kilograms, Average Daily Gain of 767.85 grains and has Feed Conversion Efficiency of 2.70 which was an acceptable performance. The hogs were marketed in two ways. The two hogs were marketed in Indang Public Market in dressed weight basis at P160.00 per kilograms and the two other hogs were sold in retail cuts. A total production cost of P43,831.47 was used in the project including all the expenses like buying stocks, feeds, medicines and vitamins, resulting in a net income of P6,721.03 and giving a return on investment of 13.29%.
