A farm practice on growing fattening hog with emphasis on "Fattening Hogs Through Supervised Farming Scheme " was conducted at the D011 Sever in o Agricultural Indang, Cavite from September 10, 1984 to January 20, 1985, This activity aimed to put into actual practice the knowledge and skills in raising fattening hogs through supervised farming scheme among the group of supervised farming students and the farm practice student himself. The hogs were reared in a well cleaned and dis-infected pen. Two 2 months feeder hogs were fed three times a day and provided with fresh and clean water. Hygiene and sanitation was strictly observed. On the average the fattened hogs attained 85.0 kilograms body weight in five months feeding. This gave an average feed efficiency of 3.44 out of 500 kilograms of feed consumed. The total monetary benefit excluding labor cost was 461, 35. Observation revealed that margin of profitability is largely dependent on the volume of production for a particular period.
