Abstract: STA. ANA, FLAMLY R. Antecedents of Employees' Productivity in Selected Companies in First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE), Dasmaririas City, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the antecedents of employees' productivity in selected companies in First Cavite Industry Estate (FCIE) in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. Specifically, this study conducted to to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents in terms of age, gender, educational attainment, civil status and type of industry, to describe the level of productivity of employees, to describe the employees' work environment (temperature, lighting and spatial arrangement), rewards and wage/salary and to determine difference (1) in the effect of the antecedents of employees' productivity (2) in terms of level of employees' productivity when respondents are grouped according to their demographic profile. Also the study aimed to find out if there is a significant relationship between and antecedents of employees' productivity on the level of employees' productivity. The study conducted last December 2012 to February 2013 at First Cavite Industrial Estate, Dasmarinas City, Cavite. The descriptive-correlational survey method was used in the study. The participants of the study were the rank and file employees currently working in different companies in FCIE. Quota sampling was used. The study used a questionnaire as a research instrument and Liked scale was used to measure the level of employees' productivity and to describe the employees' work environment, rewards and wage/salary. Mean, frequency count, standard deviation and percentage were used to analyze the data. The study used Mann Whitney Test and Kruskal Wallis Test Statistics to determine difference (1) in the effect of the antecedents of employees' productivity (2) in terms of level of employees' productivity when respondents are grouped according to their demographic profile. Also the study applied Spearman's rank correlation coefficient to find out if there is significant relationship. The findings reveal that majority of the employees belonged to the age bracket of 29 years and below, single and college graduated. Majority of the respondents have a high level of productivity when employees' performance were tested and have moderate level of productivity when antecedents of employees' productivity. The study found that there is no significant difference in the effect of antecedents of employees' productivity when respondents are grouped according to their demographic characteristics while difference exists in gender when temperature and initiative. Antecedents of employees' productivity have significant relationship with the level of employees' productivity among selected employees of FCIE.
