The study determined the relationship between the level of adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship of freshmen students of College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite State University Main Campus Indang, Cavite AY 2012-2013. Specifically, this study sought to (1) determine the level of adjustment mechanism of the participants (2) determine the interpersonal relationship of the participants, and (3) asses the relationship of adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship. The study used the descriptive correlation method to find out if there a significant relationship between adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship of freshmen students, descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation in determining the level of adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship of the participants, spearman rho test was used in determining the relationship between adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship. The study covered two hundred seven (207) freshmen students of the College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite State University Main Campus Indang, Cavite. To know the level of adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship the adjustment mechanism and interpersonal relationship, evaluation scale was developed and validated to use in this study. Results of this study revealed that the null hypothesis was rejected which means there is a significant relationship between the two variables except to friends which appear to have a good interpersonal relationship.
