Abstract: BANAAY, KARL MICHAEL H. and MENDOZA, JANA LLEWLEYN S. Design and Analysis of Slope Protection at Limbon-Pangil Road in Cavite. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Larry E. Rocela. The study was conducted from December 2018 to April 2019 at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite to provide a design and analysis of slope protection at Limbon-Pangil Road in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: (l) investigate the existing condition of soil at Limbon-Pangil road; (2) design a slope protection that will best fit the prospected site; (3) provide an economical estimated cost for the proposed slope protection; (4) present a proposed layout of the project; and (5) provide an effective disaster risk management for the public's safety especially to the residents of Indang and Amadeo. Residents and government officials from Amadeo and Indang were interviewed to know the condition of the area. Moreover, the exact length, elevations, and soil profile were determined through surveying. Further research were also conducted to gather complete information for the analysis and design of slope protection. The desiB1 and analysis of slope protection at Limbon-Pangil Road in Cavite has an overall span of 305.84 metres. Considered in desiY1ing each of the nine stations was the analysis of slope stability where three types of slope protection were considered including riprap to be laid on the bottom side slope of the location, gravity retaining wall on which the riprap is to be put over, and high tensile steel wire mesh for the protection of the upper side slope of the location. The total estimated cost for slope protection design I to design 10 are as follow— P4,602, 192.65, and Pl 5,813 ,416.74 respectively, where the overall total estimated cost was Furthermore, a tarpaulin that contains the illustration of the proposed slope protection was then provided and presented after the completion of the analysis and design process.
