Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University. April 2016. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan The study was conducted from November to January 2016 to identify the role of continuance commitment on the work performance of public high school teachers, their socio-demographic profile, the level of work performances, level of continuance commitment and the factors that influence the continuance commitment of public high school teachers. The study also aimed to find out the relationship between the socio-demographic characteristics and continuance commitment, and between continuance commitment and work performance of public high school teachers. Descriptive and correlational research design were used in the study. Data were collected from using an survey questionnaire analyzed using Chi Square, Point Biserial and Spearman rank correlation. Based on the results, most of the public high school teachers were female. Young, married, and have 4 to 6 family members. Majority only have Bachelors degree while others have MA units (10%) and MA degree (20%). Most of the teachers have at most five years teaching experience and with an average annual income of less than 300,000Php. Both the levels of work performance and continuance commitment of public high school teachers were high. Both the age and years of service had significant relationship on continuance commitment while a significant relationship between continuance commitment and work performance of public high school teachers was found.
