Abstract: OCAMPO, JENNY VI V. Exposure to Men's Magazines and its Influence in Promoting Healthy Lifestyle among Male Gym Enthusiasts in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication major in Journalism. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Mrs. Racquel G. Agustin. The study aimed to determine the influence of men's magazines in promoting healthy lifestyle among the participants. It was conducted to find out the relationship of exposure to men's magazines and its influence in promoting healthy lifestyle. The study covered men's magazines s only uch as HIM (For Him Magazine) and Men's Health primarily as the top men's magazines. The target male participants were selected from gym institutions in Cavite including Tagaytay and Mendez only. The study used a descriptive type of research method. The study used survey instrument appraach and questionnaire contained questions including the variables to determine the level of exposure of male gym enthusiasts to men's magazines and its influence in promoting healthy lifestyle. Ninety eight male gym enthusiasts were the chosen participants of the study. The study used purposive sampling to obtain the needed participants. Most of the participants were highly exposed to men's magazines as well as highly influenced by it. However, findings revealed that there was no significant relationship between the level of exposure of the participants to men's magazines in promoting healthy lifestyle and its influence.
