Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2016. Adviser: Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin. The study was conducted to determine the performance of selected businesses in Cavite. Specifically the study aimed to; determine the profile of selected businesses before and after being a beneficiary of the programs and projects of Entrepreneurial Division of PCLEDO in Cavite; determine the programs and projects availed by selected businesses from Entrepreneurial Division of PCLEDO in Cavite; determine the benefits gained by selected businesses from Entrepreneurial Division Program of PCLEDO in Cavite; determine the profitability of selected businesses before and after being a beneficiary of the programs and projects of Entrepreneurial Division of PCLEDO in Cavite; and determine the problems encountered by selected businesses in availing the services of Entrepreneurial Division Program of PCLEDO in Cavite. | The date was gathered in different areas of Cavite where selected businesses that were already operating before and after being a beneficiary of the Entrepreneurial Division of PCLEDO were located. To describe the profile of selected businesses, frequency, count, mean, range, percentage and distribution of tables were used in the study. Under business development trainings and seminar of Entrepreneurial Division Program, seminars on marketing were the most attended by selected businesses in food and non-food industry. There were only two participants who availed fund sourcing assistance. The product clinic was the most availed under technical assistance in food and non-food industry. MSME forum was the most availed program under promotion, advocacy and marketing in food industry while trade fair and exhibits in non-food industry. The skills gained by participants from selected businesses under Business Development Trainings and Seminars were marketing skills in food industry and inter-personal skills in the non-food industry. In fund sourcing, participants were linked to other institutions that can provide their financial needs. In technical assistance program, entrepreneurs were assisted in the improvement of the quality of their products was the benefit mostly gained on food and non food industry. While in Promotion, Advocacy and Marketing Programs, the benefit mostly gained by food industry was access to other business through forums with other MSMEs in Cavite and for non-food industry marketing exposure was the benefit mostly gained by the participants. The results indicate that the gross profit, operating profit, and net profit in food and non-food industry increased after being a beneficiary. The GPM, OPM, NPM and ROE of food industry increased after being a beneficiary while GPM and NPM in non-food industry decreased due to the increase of cost of raw materials for operation and increased taxes after being a beneficiary. When it comes to problems encountered mostly were lack of marketing or financial assistance for small and medium enterprise was the most problems encountered of business because they were looking for more services that will suit to their products and other institutions wherein they can avail additional financial assistance.
