Abstract: CARAIG REO M. Backyard Hog Raising in Guyam Malaki, Indang,Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Entrepreneurial Development Project Report. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Cristina F. Olo, PhD. This hog production enterprise was conducted at Guyam Malaki, Indang, Cavite from December 19, 2018 to March 28, 2019. This project aimed for the student entrepreneur to: (1) gain additional knowledge in backyard hog production; (2) apply entrepreneurial marketing strategy and determine the profitability of 4 weanlings; and (3) earn profit from the production. The project had four weanlings reared for 99 days. The average initial weight of weanlings was 18.9 kg. An average final weight of 90.8 kg was gained after 99 days. The hogs gained an average of 71.9 kg, and an average daily gain of 726 g. The average feed consumption of this project was 187.5 kg; this resulted to 2.61 feed conversion efficiency. The project had a total production cost of P 41,194 and total sales of P 42,984 with a net income of P 1,790 and return on investment (ROI) of 5 percent.
