Abstract: DASING, MARY ANNE G. Psychological Contract and Productivity of Selected Private School Teachers in City of Dasmarinas, Master’s Thesis. Master of Management major in Human Resource Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan This study was conducted to examine the relationship of the psychological contract and the productivity of the selected private school teachers in the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite. The descriptive method of research was employed in this study. The participants of this study were 197 school teachers employed in the 11 private schools in the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite in SY 2014 — 2015. A survey questionnaire was used to gather data from the participants. Descriptive Statistics was used to answer the objectives of the study. Results showed that majority of the teachers were young, single and female. Majority of the teachers only have bachelor’s degree and at most five years in teaching. In contrast, unmet expectations of the participants were most evident in the aspect of induction support, school facilities and professional development. The teachers were experiencing psychological contract violations in all aspects of their working lives, the most prominent of which were in the areas of induction support, school facilities and professional development. However, the participants’ relationships with their colleagues, principal and students and parents have minimal psychological contract violations. Teachers were found very productive. However, there are some areas of their productivity that can be further enhanced such as: teaching performance, management of records and reports, and professional advancement. Professional development, school facilities, induction support and relationship with principal strongly influenced the level of productivity of the participating teachers. Among these, professional development was found to be most influential in enhancing the level of productivity of teachers.
