Abstract: CHARLLOTE ANN P. TOLENTINO AND DANNA KRISTALENE ORPIANA. Effects of Losing and Gaining Weight of the Cavite State University Athletes in Combative Sports during STRASUC 2017 Competition. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Sport and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018 Adviser: Mr. Ronnel P. Cuachin. A study was conducted in Athletes in Combative Sport of Cavite State University to determine the effects of losing and gaining weight of the Cavite State University athletes. Specially, the study determined the demographic profile of the participants in terms of their gender, age, year level, event, number of playing years, and weight division to identify the effects of losing and gaining weight of the Cavite State University athletes in combative and determine the significant difference in the effects of losing and gaining weight to their sports performance when group according to demographic characteristic. The participants were 38 combative athletes in Cavite State University Cavite. They were selected using the Total enumeration sampling technique. A survey questionnaire was ed to gather the data needed in the study. The results showed that there is no significant difference in the effects of losing and gaining weight of the Cavite State University athletes in combative sports during STRASUC 2017 competition when grouped according to demographic characteristic. This study benefits the students, teachers, Coaches, University and Combative Athletes. This study gives them further information about the Eftects of Losing and Gaining Weight in their Sport Performance
