Abstract: DOMINGO KARL, JHONNEL F. And MENCHAVEZ, ROINER E. Development of Dual Air-conditioning System Instructional Model. Undergraduate design project Bachelor in Industrial Technology major in Automotive Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Mr. Keno S. Domingo. Generally, the study focused on the development of dual air-conditioning system instructional model. Specifically, it aimed to design and construct a dual air conditioning system mock-up and provide instructional model for dual air conditioning system instructional trainer. The study was conducted at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite and at Carasuchi, Indang, Cavite from August 2015 to October 2016. The project design was useful and effective to gather more knowledge for the future students and make it efficient to learn the idea on how the air-conditioning system works. It could help in the study of the different mechanism and techniques of air-condition and understand how to operate as well as diagnose and trouble shoot the air-condition system. The design project has three major assemblies: the major parts are (1) fabricated air-condition assembly, (2) air-condition frame, and (3) disassemble air-condition parts. The instructional trainer is fully operational for instruction. The dual air-conditioning was installed with components of the disassemble compressor to easily familiarize all the parts. The switch box is installed for the student to easily understood and experience the real function of air-condition system. The air-condition parts and wirings of the system are complete so that the students would have a diagram of the unit. Also, leak test is provided so student could easily diagnose if there’s a leak or trouble in the system. A manifold gauge is included for the charging and dis-charging the Freon inside the system. The design was found reliable, presentable and very useful for the students to gain more knowledge and improve skills in using the trainer. In developing the dual air-conditioning system, the researchers spent a total amount of P40, 539.00.
