Abstract: This student project which aims to put up a housing module for fattening cattle was conducted at the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from early week of August 1986 to March 1987. This was pri-marily conducted to show the standard measurements to be used in putting up a housing module for fattening cattle. The primary materials used were madre de cacao, bamboo, nipa and nails. After determining the number of animals to be housed, careful planning of the measure-ments and designs of the unit to be constructed followed. The construction of the post and columns was the first step followed by fitting of the truss, roofing, walling and partition construction and finally flooring. Improved techniques which considered standard measurement, designs and specifications were carefully followed so as to ensure the comfort and growth of large animals particularly cattle. The housing module for fattening cattle can now serve as a sample or show window for cattle raisers.
