The study identified the significant factors affecting labor productivity in the construction industry in Cavite. The significant factors consisted of manpower, quality,
management, technology, methods, materials and equipment, capital, technical and other related factors that effect on the labor productivity of the construction workers in the production. The subjects in the study were compose of 53 respondents, male and female
who were on the top level management? Ten construction industries were considered in the study namely, Sonic Steel Industry Incorporation, Mega Pacific Metal and Steel
Corporation, Datem Precast Industry Incorporation, GRJ JaroReadymix Corporation, SunmixReadymix Incorporation, Industrial Galvanizer Corporation of the Philippines,
Cavite Ideal International Construction and Development Corporation, Marcbilt Readymix and Asphalt Corporation, Innovative Concrete incorporation, and Prime Plus Readymix Incorporation which are all located in the province of Cavite.
Descriptive analysis were made to determine the demographic profile of the respondents such as gender, age, position, department, employment status and years in service. Descriptive analysis were also made to determine the labor productivity of the
construction workers.
The result of correlation analysis showed that the significant factors that affect labor productivity are manpower, quality, management, technology, methods, materials and equipment, capital, technical, and other factors. Based on the result of the study, given sixty-two (62) factors and eight (8) labor productivity questions, there are thirty-seven (37) results factors that have significant effect on labor productivity.The result of the study has found that there have been construction productivity problems in Cavite, and disclosed the eight general significant factors, which were rated to have more than a moderate influence on productivity, affecting construction productivity in Cavite as lack of manpower, quality, management, technology, methods, materials and equipment, capital, and technical. Most of these factors that highly correlated occur due to management, technology, methods, materials and equipment and capital malfunction.
