Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Operations Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2016. Adviser: Engr. Gilberto S. David. The study was conducted to describe the company profile of the convenience Store, the store retail layout considerations and merchandise category of the store. In addition, the study aimed to determine influence of retail layout to impulse buying behavior of the customers, preference and satisfaction of customer about the retail layout of the convenience store. The study was conducted in five towns of Cavite namely; Bacoor City, Dasmarinas City, Silang, General Trias, and Tagaytay City. A total of fifteen (15) convenience store and two hundred twenty five (225) customers was used in the study. Data were presented using frequency, range, mean and percentage to describe the information gathered. Data were represented through tables. Convenience stores had been in operation from 5 months to 15 years with an average of 5 years. Ranged from 2 to 25 personnel with an average of 9 personnel. The participants of the study which is the owner and manager of the convenience store placed merchandise with the consideration of sales, advertisement, accessibility of products, convenience of the customer, customer safety, product safety, government mandatory, price of the products, traffic flow pattern and characteristics of product. Convenience store considers exposing their products with the possibility that would allow the customer to go inside the store and purchase. Convenience store placed their product where it can be noticed, and easily forgotten items where it can be remembered. Placing merchandise at eye level of its target market is considered for marketing. Convenience of the customer is considered, products that are complementary to each other are placed together or near with each other for fast transaction and the income possibility of multiple purchases. Convenience of the employee is considered in retail layout, products are arranged in a way that the employee can assist the customer easily. Traffic and the size of the shelves are considered for the convenience of both employees and customer's. A fee that is paid by the manufacturers for the prominent slot in the convenience store is somehow considered by the convenience store. The placement of the product that cannot be bought by all ages, products price and products safety is considered by the convenience store.
