The project aimed to develop skills in swine production in terms of actual operation and management of a swine production project and to determine the profitably of raising swine. The swine production project used eight piglets that were purchased at a local swine farm raiser, the initial average weight of the piglets is 13.5 kg. The feeds were bought at Silang public market. They were fed on a restricted regimen so that there was minimal feed wastage. A total of 8 heads of hogs were raised. After a rearing period of 83 days, the hogs consumed a total of 400 kg starter feeds with an average feed consumption of 50 kg per head. The hogs also consumed a total of 1000 kg of grower feeds with an average feed consumption of 125 kg per head. The hogs obtained an average final body weight of 86.5 kg at harvest with feed efficiency of 2.39 kg. The harvest recovery was 100 percent. A total of P59,687.50 was used for buying of stocks, feeds, medicine, and other inputs used in the operation. The project was found profitable with a net income of P30,552.50 and return on investment of 51.18 percent.
