Abstract: NOVELO, KENNETH S. and PAREJA, RACHEL ANN O., Development Plan of Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Engr. Larry E. Rocela. The proposed development plan of Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus and structural design of the proposed four storey senior high school building were conducted from October 2016 to April 2017 at Cavite State University. The main objective of the study was to provide the development plan of the Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus. Specifically, it aims to present the physical, structural, electrical plans and plumbing layout of the proposed senior high school building. It also aimed to provide the water supply system, sewage, and drainage layout of the entire campus. Lastly, it aimed to provide the university cost estimate of the proposed building. Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus has a total land area of 6,866.54m? and the proposed site development plan of the University included a road network, a covered court, a canteen, an administrative building, and the proposed four-storey school building. The proposed school building has a total lot area of 830.8836 m? and has four floors. The ground floor consists of four laboratories. The second floor consists of a computer laboratory, a faculty room and lecture rooms. The third floor consists of six lecture rooms and a conference room. Lastly, the fourth floor consists of an AVR and six lecture rooms. It has a shed-type roofing made of G.I. sheets. The authors used AutoCAD 2016 and SketchUp 2016 in the presentation of the architectural layout of the proposed building. The Engineering Software STAAD (Structural Aided Analysis and Design) was used in the analysis of structural framework. The guidelines set by the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) were followed in the design computation. The computed section of the angular bars used for the top and bottom chords is 2-L50 x 50 x 5 and 2-L40 x 40 x 5 for the web members. Among the computed beams, the authors found out that the largest section was 375 mm x 575 mm. In columns, the largest section was 650mm x 650 mm. The proposed building was determined to be safe and has a total cost of P 43, 238,832.03, including labor and materials. It costs P 12,931.17 per square meter. See (Appendix 4). It was concluded that the new development plan of Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus can be utilized by the campus’ administration and is feasible to be a reference for future development of the campus. Based on the results of the study, the authors recommend future researchers to provide the architectural, structural, plumbing and electrical plans of the other structures that were also in the proposed site development plan of Cavite State University — Maragondon Campus. It is also recommended for future researchers to construct the detailed plan of the sewage system and water supply system of the entire area including the design of catch basins and septic tank.
