Abstract: ILAGAN, RAYMON R., and MENDOZA, JOSEPH M. Development of a management information system for Mataas na Lupa, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018 Adviser: Mr. Simeon E. Daez. The study entitled "development of management of information system for the Barangay Mataas na Lupa, Indang, Cavite" was developed to help the barangay personnel solve an existing problems in the barangay. It helped the barangay hall personnel of the Mataas na Lupa work like storing, updating, and securing the data of the barangay outpost such as residents information, generated reports, and the annual budget of the barangay. It also provided the personnel fast generation of the barangay's reports as well as easier printing and issuance of forms and clearances to the residents. The iterative process development methodology was used in the development of the system. It is divided into five (5) phases which includes: planning and requirements phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing phase, and evaluation phase. The Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) was used as the development language of the system and MY Structured Query Language (MySQL) 10.9.1 for the database. Adobe Photoshop cc 2017 was used to create and enhance the user interface of the system. The Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) used to create the template or the graphic user interface (GUI) of the system and Microsoft Office Word for the documentation. The system undergone several series of testing and software evaluation by using indicators that were graded from one (1) to five (5) wherein 5 is excellent, 4 as very good, 3 as good, 2 as fair, and 1 as poor. Eleven (11) personnel of the barangay Mataas na Lupa, and 10 information technology (IT) experts evaluated the system to verify its functionality, reliability, usability, user-friendliness, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. In accordance to the results of the evaluation, none of the respondents rated the software as poor but mostly excellent. It shows that the software met the set of objective and requirements of the system.
