Abstract: A farm practice was conducted at Chavez Poultry Farm in Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City from November 15 to December 26. 1997. All inputs were provided by the farm owner while labor was provided by the student. Two thousand ( P2,000) birds were used in the project. They were raised in a brooding-growing house for 42 days. Two infrared heaters were used as heat sources during the brooding period. After 42 days of rearing, the birds consumed an average of 3.61 kg of feeds. They attained an average body weight of 1.72 kg and a feed conversion efficiency of 2.10 kg. Mortality was 4.50 percent. The total expenses of the project amounted to P 128,453.16. Gross income amounted to P151.819.20 was obtained. The project realized an 18.19 percent return on investment.
