Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Ms. Janice E. Paiton. This study was conducted from August 2018 to February 2019 in Cavite to identify the level of self-efficacy on prosocial and self-interest motivation of nurses in selected private and public hospitals in Cavite. In addition, this study also sought to determine if there is a significant difference in the self-efficacy when grouped based on the socio-demographic profile of the nurses. The descriptive research design, comparative research design and causal- explanatory design were used in the study. Total enumeration of nurses in selected private and public hospitals in Cavite was 76 participants. Based on the result, nurses in selected private and public hospitals in Cavite have a high level of self-efficacy. It was also revealed that the level of prosocial motivation of the participants and the level of self- interest motivation were high. Lastly, the study showed that there was no significant difference in the level of self-efficacy of the participants when grouped based on the socio-demographic profile. Self-efficacy was found to have a high significant relationship to prosocial motivation. On the other hand, self-efficacy was not significantly related to self-interest motivation.
