Purposive sampling procedure was used to collect data from 318 micro-entrepreneurs in.the study area: descriptive statistics and - multiple linear regression model analysis were used. Data were presented in tables which include description and explanation of study findings. The result revealed that household size, initial capital, and sex have significant effect on micro-entrepreneurs access to microfinance loans. On the other hand, age and number of employees were found to be significant in determining their access to informal loans. Apart from their access to microcredit, the findings also showed that monthly income, collateral and sex relatively affect the demand for microfinance loans. Further, interest rates implied a directly proportional relationship with the demand for informal loans. This paper reviews micro-entrepreneurs’ access to financial services, a key factor of successful economic development strategy. Designing appropriate financial products for beneficiaries to be able to borrow and invest is essential to strengthen micro-entrepreneurs' role as producers and widen the economic opportunities available to them. For this purpose, microfinance institutions should endeavor to —create more awareness and arrange trainings to enhance human capital development and boost micro-entrepreneurs’ productive capacity in order to ease accessibility to microcredit.
