Abstract: DULA, MARK JOSHUA D., FERAER, JOHN MARCO A., and SANGANGBAYAN, MARK JAY R. Development of How's Your Vocabulary: An Educational Mobile Game Application. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mr. Jake R. Ersando. The study was conducted to develop a mobile application that will boost and help students to improve their English vocabulary. The application had three categories: Crossword Puzzle, Homophone, and Linking Verb Quiz. Crossword puzzle can be played by only one player where the user will form a word using given jumbled letters to clear each level. To have an idea on the application, the developers put how to play button for the users and some information in the home screen of the homophone and linking verb quiz. The quiz can be played by solo, and multiplayer wherein both players must first connect to the hotspot connection. When the quiz starts, Player I and Player 2 must first fill the appropriate word in the blank statement to finish the quiz with a fifteen second timer on it. The score will pop up after the quiz ends to know who the winner will be. The Iterative model was the development methodology used. It has seven (7) phases: Planning, Requirements, Analysis and Design, Implementation, Testing, Evaluation Phase, and Deployment. The application was developed with the use of the following tools: C# as the programming languages; Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Photoshop CS6 for the design of the system; Unity as the application for developing the software; Audacity for the background music; and SQL Lite for the database of the system. The application was evaluated based on the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, and user friendliness of the system. Evaluators were the senior high school students who live at Brgy. Harasan, Indang, Cavite. The application passed all the given criteria in the evaluation made. It met all the requirements of the software.
