Abstract: BALANLAY, KENNETH L., RODRIGUEZ, BON MYRO A. and VISTAL, CHRISTINE T. Development of Automated Tin Can and Plastic Bottle Machine Segregator. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electronics. Cm ite State University. Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mr. Ronald E. Arano The study was conducted and constructed from November 2018 to April 2019 at Blk 3 Lot 6 Phase 3 Bray. Burol l, Dasmarinas City, Cavite to develop an automated tin can and plastic bottle Machine segregator to reduce the scattered tin can and plastic bottles waste and to encourage people in proper waste disposal. Specifically, it aimed to l. design an automated tin can and plastic bottle machine segregator; 2. construct an automated tin can and plastic bottle machine segregator; and 3. test and evaluate the workability, functionality, durability, aesthetics, economy, and safety of the design project. This paper shows the integration of three (3) sensors, infrared, capacitive and inductive proximity sensor. Being knowledgeable with different functions of sensors has provided extensive knowledge to researchers to achieve the development of machine segregator. The microcontroller plays an important role in the overall circuitry because all incoming and outgoing data passed and are processed into the microcontroller. The three (3) mechanically) s enable the entire process of machine segregator. First, the tilting tube that drops the object to go to the secondary mechanism; the separator conveyor that separates two di Gilzean objects. and the third is the mechanism of the coin payout panel, it pushes the coin to fall The overall development of this design project was successful. Through the participation of the DIET instructors, Electrical Technology students, and Electronics technology students during the evaluation process. the combined computed mean based on the results of the evaluation garnered a 4.74 rating with a descriptive rating of outstanding. This result shows that the project is highly acceptable to the different evaluators.
