Abstract: CAPULONG, CAMILLE JOY C., DEL ROSARIO, MILLO F., NOLASCO, FRANCES ANNE E., and ROSALES, PHOEBE GRACE P. Development of a Management Information System for Halang Banaybanay National High School. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Prof. Aiza E. Bihis. The study was conducted from August 2018 to March 2019 at Halang Blanaybanay National High School, Banaybanay, Cavite. The study aimed to develop a management information system for Halang Banaybanay National High School to help and improve their manual process. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. designed software with the following modules: view class list module, registration module, grade module, account management module, add post module and admission module; 2. design a software with the following modules; 3. test the effectivity of the system through unit test, integration test, and system test; and 4. evaluate the system using the ISO 9126 standard evaluation based on functionality, usability, maintainability, reliability, efficiency, portability and user — friendliness. The methodology used was iterative development process. The software applications used by the proponents to develop the system were PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Sublime Text 3, MySQL, CSS, and Bootstrap. The system has different modules which are the following: view class list module, registration module, grade module, account management module, add post module and admission module, the system has four (4) level of access including the guidance counselor/administrator, teacher/adviser, student and parent/guardian. The testing used were the following unit test, integration test, and system test. The total number system evaluator is 70 which is composed of IT experts, teachers, and students, the over—all result for the non — technical evaluation is 4.41 and 4.56 for the technical evaluation which is both excellent in verbal interpretation. The general average mean is 4.54 which is also excellent in verbal interpretation. This study will assist the HBNI-IS in managing the information of the institution, information of their students and teachers, for generating of school report and for having an organized storage of information. To improve the developed system, functions are recommended based on the findings and conclusion made: 1. printing the form 137 of the students; 2. include SMS in parent/guardian as notification to inform them regarding their child's guidance record; and 3. mobile application of the developed system.
