Abstract: ALCANTARA, ARVIN H., and BORL1NG, CLINT HAROLD P. Agricultural Management Practices of Pineapple Farms in Silang, Cavite. Bachelor of Science in Business management major in Operations Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Engr. Gilberto S. David. The study was conducted to determine the management practices involved in the pineapple farms of Silang, Cavite. It aimed to determine the socio-demographic practices of the farm owners as well as the farms agricultural management practices, distribution management practices and problems encountered by the farmers. Frequency, percentage, mean, rank, and cross tabulation were used in the study to easily understand and analyze the data gathered. The participants of the study were composed of 85 farm owners from Silang, Cavite. The average age of the participants was 53 year old. Also, most of the participants were married who attained elementary and secondary level. Most of the farm owners used araro when doing the land preparation. The farm owners were also hiring people to help them with planting up to harvesting to finish the job quickly. Majority of the farm owners in Sllang, Cavite were using flower inducer as means of inducing the plants to easily grow fruit faster. Commercial fertilizer was used in the land twice a year to make sure that the nutrients will suffice the plant. When it comes to distribution, the farm owners have a contracted trader wherein, the traders were the one who bought the harvested products of the farmers in wholesale.
