This study was conducted to: determine the socio-economic characteristics of the rural women in selected municipalities of Cavite; identify the agricultural development projects the rural women had participated in selected municipalities of Cavite categorized into: crop production; animal production; and agricultural services; determine the factors that influence the rural women to participate in agricultural development projects in selected municipalities of Cavite in terms of: social well-being, economic well being, and empowerment; determine the roles of women from rural areas in agricultural development projects in selected municipalities of Cavite in terms of: project planning, decision making, and implementation; identify the rural women's expectations in the agricultural development projects implemented in selected municipalities of Cavite in terms of: increased income, availability of farm inputs, and employment; determine the significant relationship between socio-economic characteristic and the factors that influence them to participate in agricultural development projects in selected municipalities of Cavite; and determine the problems encountered by the rural women in their participation to agricultural development projects. The study was conducted in selected municipalities in the province of Cavite namely: Alfonso, Magallanes, and Mendez from January to May 2019. Data were obtained from 161 rural women interviewed. Descriptive statistical tools such as mean, frequency and percentage were used to present the socio-economic characteristics of the participants, the different agricultural development projects, the factors that influence the rural women to participate in agricultural development projects on their expectations taly implemented agricultural development projects. Ranking were used to present the different problems encountered by the participants. Chi-square Test was used to determine the significant relationship between socio-economic characteristics and the factors that influence rural women to participate in agricultural development projects. Majority of the participants were involved in the production of fruits and vegetables as these were considered cash crops where income can be easily received. Most of the rural women participated in swine dispersal. The most common livelihood training they participated in were meat processing, dishwashing making, and polvoron making. The number one factor that affected the participants to join was to socialize with other rural women in the community. Majority were just members of their respective organization. The major decision makers were also the officers of the respective barangay. wherein they were also the one; who implemented the project. After the implementation, they also stand as advisers, because they guided and instructed their co-members about the project. Most of the participants volunteered the information that they expected employment in joining the different agricultural development projects. The socio-economic characteristic of the participants and factors that influence them to participate in agricultural development projects had no significant relationships. The most cited problem by the participants was members do not follow the policy.
