Abstract: ERNI, ALBERT B., Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, February 1997. Simulation Model on Integrated Farming Systems (SMIFS) Major Adviser: Dr. Simeon S. Crucido. This study was conducted to develop a computer software to be known as Simulation Model on Integrated Farming Systems (SMIFS) — Version 1. This was designed to analyze and provide an analytical tool for farm income analysis. This version contained reports on the different technologies and important information related to farming systems and farm structures. The program proper was divided into two mains divisions. The first one is the mathematical /computational analysis, and the second group is the descriptive and modular presentation. The mathematical analysis included cost and return, linear regression, and depreciation methods of analysis. Descriptive presentation, on the other hand, provided several topics obtained from authors specialized in these fields. It can be read in a scrolling manner from the computer monitors. A hard copy of each item being presented in the program can be made by pressing the <Proscar> key in the computer keyboard. Everything in the SMIFS program runs smoothly under the main control of QBasic as its mother program.
