Abstract: LEPARDO, GINA DO Don Severino Agricultural College, 1988. "Effects of Population Density and Different Levels of Calcium Sulfate (CaSO) on the Growth and Yield of Peanut" 0 Mr. Celso Crucido, Adviser The performance of peanut variety "Virginia" as affected by five plant population densities and five levels of Calcium Sulfate (Caso) was studied. The experiment was laid out using a Split Plot Design (SPD) in a 400 square meter land area. Highly significant effect of population density, Calcium Sulfate levels and interaction of population density and CaSO level was observed for plant height, weight of 100 seeds, fresh pod weight and shelling percentage the number of pods per plant is significantly affected only by Caso levels. The results of the study showed that high peanut yield can be obtained if planted at medium density (44 9444 plants per hectare) and intermediate rate of CaS04 (250 kilograms per hectare)
